                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 823
                   MCCALLIE AVENUE, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF
                   MCCALLIE AVENUE SOUTHEAST OF PALMETTO STREET
                   FROM C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERICAL ZONE TO R-4
                   SPECIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 823 McCallie Avenue,
                being on the northeast line of McCallie Avenue
                southeast of Palmetto Street.  The west 48 feet of
                lot M, Pryor's Subdivision of Lots D and H, not
                recorded; being the property described in deed book
                3826, page 170, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 146H-E-8.
               
               
         from C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone to R-4 Special Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
